Summer vacation...rainy day

We are thoroughly enjoying our first week of summer vacation! It has taken us a few days to adjust to a less rigid schedule, but I think we are finding our new routine. I am really enjoying being able to do my housework in the morning again, as well as getting to some organization projects that I didn't have time for during the school year.

Today we went outside for a couple of hours before the rain rolled in...and then we came in and entertained ourselves since the rain was here to stay! (It's been a great rain...we still need it around here and we're thankful for every inch we get.) This afternoon we made frosted sugar cookies -- flowers and butterflies -- to celebrate our summer vacation.
