Lavender sachet project

This past weekend I made a lavender sachet for a friend for whom I needed a small gift. I used some linen recycled from a pair of capris that I had made for myself but intensely disliked, embroidered the small flower on the front, filled it with dried lavender, sewed it shut, and frayed the edges. I like this result much better than the original result from this fabric!!!

I'm sorry your capri's didn't turn out...but it does my heart much good to know that I am not alone! I hate it when I put so much time into something and then I just don't like it! :-) I like your sachet idea...I have been itching to get into embroidery for my girl's dresses--a sachet sounds a little less daunting than a dress!
