Mid-summer harvest
This is a very small sampling of our summer harvest. So far we have canned 14 quarts of beans, frozen 28 ears' worth of sweet corn (out of 50 ears harvested so far), and harvested 2 eggplants, nearly 150 cucumbers, and lots of tomatoes (sorry, didn't care to count every grape, roma, and beefsteak tomato!). We love our garden! Yes, it's a lot of work, but so worth it...

Mid summer harvest? What's that?!? We haven't had any harvest yet and it's almost the end of the summer! :-)
Beautiful! Are you using anything to keep the pests from eating your labors? I'm having issues with that.
Oh, such beauty of color and texture.....it appeals to me and your Dad loves the beauty and the fact that you can eat it, too, is the best of the best to him!
O, give thanks to the Lord of the Harvest............D and M Minota
Our beefsteak tomatoes have suffered every year from some kind of fungus that kills off all of the greenery and halts fruit production, but we think we've identified the problem and will spray for that next year. Other than that, we haven't had any significant trouble with bugs etc. (yet!)
I know how you feel. I have a small garden this year and I've enjoyed all the good stuff. I'm still waiting for my tomatoes to ripen, but the green beans and peas have been wonderful!
