Mystery solved...

...all that nasty back pain, nausea, exhaustion, sleeping poorly because I'm in pain, and the reason that I'm having such a hard time bouncing back after my surgery? A nasty kidney infection. I got a shot of antibiotic at the doctor's office today and it was the nastiest shot I've ever had -- and I've had some doozies through the years -- which sent me straight home until the pain wore off (the dr said that was normal -- it's a horrid shot, but it's what I needed to stop the infection in its tracks). Now I just got back out of pjs for the second time today and am going to run to the store nearby for my oral antibiotics and a few groceries, and then I'm coming home to crawl back into bed. With meds in my system to start fighting back, I should be feeling much better by tomorrow...and I am so ready!

I love the skeleton/kidney pic. Hmmm, lemme see, when I had my double kidney infection and the mean doctor man gave me a shot it was in the ummm, cheek area which made no sense to me because when you do not feel well that is the part of your anatomy you want to be on the most.
