One little extra -- the steroids give David a bit of a "buzz" that make it difficult for him to go to sleep, even when he's exhausted. Last night, he came down the stairs after lying in bed for a bit and hid between the back of the couch and the cushions (he thought we didn't see him). When I walked over and popped up with the camera, we caught this beautiful, albeit devilish, little grin!

David got his new hearing aid
Here is David and his new hearing aid. It doesn't look any different, except for being slightly larger in size -- so slight that it is noticeable only to those of us who have seen them up close day in and day out.
He is all tired out, as you can see in the picture. The steroid he is on (a last-ditch effort to try to reverse some of the recent hearing loss) has temporarily shortened the amount of sleep he gets at night, so any major activity during the day (like trips to the audiologist, new HAs, and time in the test booth) really wipes him out.
The kids' next hearing check & consult with their ENT is on Oct. 18th...if everybody behaves until then!

Welcome to the blogging world, girl! It can get addictive...I spend a good chunk of time checking everyone's blog and keeping up on everything...but I love it! Let us know how David's hearing reacts to the steroids...love the mischievous grin! I can't believe how big he has gotten! I remember when we all doubted whether or not there would ever be a David in your lives! God is so good to us! Say hey to both sets of parents for us!
