Stay little for just a little longer...

Yesterday David was waiting on the porch for me to refill his bucket with clean rinse water.  I looked up from the sink and he had his nose pressed against the window to check on me...and I had a sudden, involuntary flash-forward to the young man he is becoming.  My heart squeezed as I looked at that bare, skinny body with the faint muscle definitions of a strong young boy and that wet, tousled hair and I willed time to slow down just a little...

You can will time slower but it won't work.......savor each moment and waste not a minute! (You are always going to be amazed at your children, even when they are grown up)

If only we could push the pause button. My baby is almost 33 years old, & I still aee him as a 5 yr. old in my dreams.

This is such a sweet post.

Thanks for your stopping & commenting on mine. I always appreciate knowing someone cares enough to comment! Bless you & yours!

I've been feeling that way about my boys lately too. Two of my boys fit my shoes now; but I just love that their fingers are still sticky and soft when they try to see if their fingers are longer than mine.

Oh, I am right there with you! Timothy is turning 7 next week, so our boys are close in age. I keep feeling the same way.
