Beggars mustn't be choosers...

David takes his duties as man of the house very seriously when Daddy's at work and Mommy's not feeling well. Yesterday, by the time we got some groceries and waited at the pharmacy, I was in pretty rough shape. David insisted that I stand back and let him load all of the groceries for me...so I did. While I was curled up in bed after my shot, he got out the old "IV pole" and hooked me all up. He spent a long time hooking me up to cords, wires, and other accoutrements that acted as monitors and IVs. Of course, he wasn't concerned about that fact that relieving the coat stand of its normal duty leaves rather a mess in the living room. Ah well. He does take good care of me, excluding the excessive messes...he even carried all of the groceries from the van, uphill up the sidewalk, up the front porch steps, and into the kitchen...and he was beaming with pleasure when he told his daddy what good care he had given me. So, of course...I shan't complain. :)

We are so proud of you, David, for loving your Mom with actions of a very responsible young man.

It's a blessing to have "help" and our helpers will eventually become much more proficient when we keep encouraging them now! :o)
