Visit from a friend

This past weekend we were privileged to get a visit from our friend Katherine, whom we haven't seen since we moved to Georgia!  She had last seen David when he was one and had never met Abigail...it was a real treat to be together!

On Saturday we visited downtown Atlanta...

 Lunch at The Varsity

 A stroll through Centennial Olympic Park, where David played in the Fountain of Rings.  Abigail couldn't get up the nerve to get in there, so she went with Katherine to stand in the shade of a tree while David played!

 Krispy Kreme doughnuts...hot now...ooooohhhh my!

We enjoyed celebrating the Fourth of July together...in the evening, we had some small fireworks and then the kids caught fireflies and put them in jars to enjoy at bedtime.

We also played lots of games together, visited Deaf Baptist Church on Sunday morning, and chatted a lot...we had to catch up on the last seven years!  It was a wonderful visit...one we hope to repeat before seven years go by again. :)
