After checks, we went out for dinner with RaDora (it's a great habit we're getting into!) and I (well, actually, we, as in Bruce and me) got my (our) first Christmas present of the year!
(Sorry about the stock photo, but I'm trying to hurry)!
It's the game Bananagrams -- sort of a cross between Scrabble and Boggle and WordTwist and all of those word games that we adore -- but it's racing against each other, so that means Bruce can't take twenty minutes to play his turn, hallelujah :)...and it comes in a nifty little banana-shaped sack...it couldn't get much better than all this!!!
And this just gives us another reason to love RaDora...she's about as good at waiting to give gifts as I am! Her reasoning is very good (we who hate to wait to give gifts are also very accomplished at concocting good reasons for why we should give them early) -- now we can take the game to play with the Florida fam at Thanksgiving. I'll let you know how it goes!

I just looked at this game this weekend! I wondered if it would be good for Daniel since it was at the teachers' store...but now I might have to revisit it for me and Brent! I, too, need reasons NOT to give gifts early...my mom said to me the other day when she was here, "Tell me I can't give this to Claire early." We had to give ourselves a little pep talk about waiting to give gifts!
Oh, I would have never given this early--but I am so glad I get to play it soon! Look out, Bruce, I am going to beat you!
Now that sounds like a fun game! I also HATE waiting to give gifts!! I have it--let me give it. :o)
My mom got that game a couple months ago. We've only gotten the chance to play it once so far, but we enjoyed it! :)
