A Happy Invasion!

We have a few extra family members this weekend!  Our friends' girls have come to stay with us for a few days and we have been busy enjoying the company.  They arrived on Thursday evening and the girls were happy to pose for a bedtime picture.  Aren't they cute in their pjs and bare feet?!
Yesterday Noah came for the day to help David be a little less outnumbered!  Everyone enjoyed snuggle time with him before his nap and he was very patient as he was passed around to be loved on by all of us.
Noah was enthralled by the constant hum of activity around him, especially when we went outside for the afternoon.  He sat safely in the stroller to watch bike riding and game playing and he got pushed around and around the driveway by his adoring fans for at least a hundred miles or so! :)  We all enjoyed playtime on the swingset.
Later in the afternoon, one of our tired troopers took a nap and the rest of them had some downtime listening to Patch the Pirate and coloring or playing quietly (I sat in my chair and drooled read my book!).
Last night they still had energy to spare and they climbed trees (a note to the girls' mother: they were small trees with a thick layer of pine straw underneath them!), played soccer, and ran around the lawn while Bruce and I did some community-landscaping work with our neighbors (no pictures, since I was working!)
Needless to say, everyone slept like rocks last night and they are back at it today!  David and Bruce headed out to get a part for a home-repair project, and the girls are all sitting in the living room chattering and playing princess.  The house is alive with the sounds of "girl"!

{Last night at dinner, in the spirit of April Fool's Day, I put a big serving bowl on the table and then, after everyone was seated, brought out a big bag of cat food and poured it in, stuck a spoon in it, and asked who wanted first helpings.  I really wish I had gotten a picture of the looks I got...they were priceless!!!}
